Typed text (upside down): THE/GES2.01 -2- new engine was being cool-tested. It is the recognised practice which should be done if at all possible, that any new engine should be bedded in on the test-bed. Comparatively new and the time I was in it that this type of equipment has--did not obtain any definite information on this subject. The ground crews who have been on the Squadron for some time have a big advantage over us because they have had first-hand information as regards how their engines behave in the air. Handwritten text (pencil): H2 + Take observation of for such reasons. I regret that your kind note was issued by the Cannock, an order. The order was an important one & should not be ignored. from your letter to ignore. (Additional text is present in shorthand which cannot be deciphered). | ||
