| 19.12.34. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Re Bentley Saloon. Mayfair Carriage Design 793. (1) The head at the waistline is 4" longer than standard, and the rear door is 2" wider, the front being as standard. The quarter is therefore 2" deeper. (2) The rear seat as drawn is 2 to 3" further aft than it can go at the moment. (3) In owner's design the waist moulding as drawn on the boot is not quite as it would have to be made. With such a deep moulding a chromium plated insert appears to be called for. (4) The floor of the rear boot is 2" higher than it need be, robbing the luggage space. (5) The window lift handle to the front door on driver's side is not in the correct position. Otherwise as far as the design shews, the body appears to be quite attractive.
