FRONT WHEEL BRAKE TESTS.

As mentioned on the telephone this morning, Derby are anxious to have the landaulet in London to-morrow evening, if convenient to you, to enable them to remove the front brakes, etc. and transfer them to our open demonstration car, 107-MG, to enable us to make a final test on that car.

After you have tested the landaulet, if you find it satisfactory, this will enable Derby immediately to order front springs for closed cars. They are waiting for the word 'Go'.

Directly we have made the final test of 107-MG, (the open touring car), if we find it sufficiently satisfactory, we will send it to you in order that you may also give the word 'Go' for ordering springs for open cars.

Derby have recently pointed out that this matter is very urgent, in order to avoid a gap in production.

We of course have not yet heard the results of the tests being made in France with front brakes and springs 12% stronger than our present standard.

On the open car fitted with springs 12% stronger than standard which had run for 10,000 miles, we found one leaf was broken. This is apparently the only news we have of the result of using this type of springs.
