ATTACHED TO Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}9/JH.28.12.38. .450" higher than those indicated in PD.339 but this will not matter. Two mild steel packings will be required to fit between the cross member and frame. These should not be more than -.010" thick at the mid point. Two new brackets Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}578 will be required for the petrol tank support. To fit these it will be necessary to remove the end pieces of the cross member. Two new shackles will be supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FWK. Will you also please grind oil grooves on the four threaded pins as per instructions.
