Spare wheel placement and the importance of wheelbase length for sales.

One spare wheel must be carried at the rear because of the treble advantage of this position compared with the side, which should be as dead as the Dodo.
Two things seem absolutely necessary to increase sales; riding qualities, and appearance. A short wheelbase would spoil both.
