| Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 200a Rml/R.18.3.38. Many thanks for your notes , and for the 10,000 miles' report on 6.B.IV in France. Naturally, this latter report without strip particulars loses a good deal of its value. We are arranging, however, that 6.B.IV. will not be stripped until you return. We note you have completed about 13,000 miles in France. It is just possible we may arrange for Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to do a quick run round on the car before it returns to Derby, and should, therefore, like you to communicate with us before you bring the car home. You would probably like to complete your reports after the running is finished, and we recommend that you give the testers a week's holiday. I am sending you a copy of your report amended to cover examinations which were carried out at Derby. Nothing was found wrong with the axle thrust race. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
