gradually lose ground so to speak in the sense that its elements may not remain in first class condition, though our experiments so far rather indicate that this is not necessarily the case.

P.S.2.

I want to put in a word here regarding the 40/50 batteries in separate 6-volt units which we have on order from you for some experimental cars we are turning out at the moment.

One pair of such batteries is now very urgently required. Owing to a misunderstanding I regret that these were not put in hand with you as soon as they should have been, but now we are asking you to let us have one pair (charged) at the very earliest possible moment, and a further pair fairly urgently but not so urgent as the first pair.
