Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.12/MA. 86153. 4th August, 1936. Messr. Philips Lamps, Ltd., Philips House, Charing Cross Road, London, W.C.2. Dear Sir, We have noted that on some of our customers cars fitted with your radio sets the H.T. wire from the coil to the distributor has been substituted for a metal braided cable. We are not sure whether this has been done by the radio mechanics who installed the set or by the Coachbuilders but we would advise you that the fitting of such a wire is strongly deprecated by us as it considerably reduces the reliability of the ignition system. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
