R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 798. 16-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2947 Contd. -3- EFC2/T4.5.21. Their objection to it was the variability in operation which may result in slight change in conditions, e.g. brush contact conditions or the third brush. They considered that their system was the result of a large amount of experimenting carried out with a view to overcoming any such variability and to cause the dynamo to give consistently the same output under apparently similar conditions at all times. The particular point made out to them was that the characteristic of the single field winding third brush controlled machine, taking everything into consideration, is much more exactly what is wanted to meet the varied uses to which our car is put. X4357 X4342 Dynamo & Motor for Small Car. Messrs. Lucas have no dynamo which is suitable for the small car. They suggested the E.575 machine (as standard on the large car) but we cannot consider this suitable without alteration to the winding, as the cutting in point would be too late, even for this case, and the output in the later stages much too big. As regards the motor, Messrs. Lucas have a motor which the consider would be suitable and the matter of the fixing of this motor to the small car is being gone into between themselves and our Design Dept. EFC. | ||
