(2) ENGINE UNIT CONTINUED Camshaft & Auxiliary Drive The timing chain has worn approx .010 at each link pin and there is a total stretch of approx .600. CHASSIS Front Wheel Suspension The threaded pins at the outer ends of the upper suspension arms and the corresponding bushes in the steering knuckle supports are very badly worn, the thread having disappeared entirely on the heavily loaded side of the pin and bush. Wear has also taken place but to a lesser extent, on the threaded pins in the inner ends of the lower suspension arms. [Diagram Labels] THREADED PIN THREADED PINS YOKE BOLT YOKE BUSH STG. KNUCKLE SUPPORT YOKE The threaded bushes are loose in the steering knuckle support yokes and are badly worn on the screwed (external) diameter. The bores of the bushes are not worn and the wearing surfaces on the yoke bolts are also in good condition. All the steering connections are in good condition. continued. | ||
