[Handwritten signature] Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std Scheme herewith for a cheap compact article easy to assemble. From information and reports supplied by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. relating to Clayton Heaters, we consider that a resistance of 6 ohms should be inserted in circuit with the motor to allow slow speeds without stalling. The switch has been arranged to move from 'OFF' to 'FULL ON' to give maximum torque for starting, followed by a gradual increase of resistance as required. Control knob and engraved flange will be similar in appearance to petrol pump switch. For experiment, the moulded parts to be made in Tufnol. Heater to be switched off with ignition. Provision made for alternative knobs, either black moulding or chromium plated with flanged to match. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. is to obtain prices for this unit bought out.
