6142 HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.12/AP.8.12.36. DYNAMO ON CAR B.23.AE. The dynamo on the above car recently failed to charge. Examination showed that a large amount of thick grease had collected round the brush gear and commutator. The machine was cleaned as far as possible in position on the car, but it should be removed and completely overhauled when the car next comes into the Shop. Will you please arrange to have this done.
