X/318 To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}5/HP.16.11.34. re SpectreCodename for Phantom III Oil Sump. We have encountered some difficulties in connection with the tray that we are proposing to fit in the sump. You will remember we showed this to you the other day. Instead, we are sending you an experimental design LeC.4202 showing a vertical baffle made in sheet metal, fixed to the centre of the oil sump and having a flap valve on its aft side. We should be glad if you could get this tried as soon as possible to see if it will cure loss of oil pressure when braking and cornering. Will you please instruct RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} ENCLOSURE No 750 | ||
