BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/LG2.5.28. REDUCED STEERING RATIO FOR PHANTOM. X7430 X7450 We have seen the layout of the 10" pendulum lever on the present standard Phantom with the ball on the inside and it seems to give a reasonable side steering tube with the present standard ends to N.sch.2258. It is clear that we cannot get the 9 1/2" pendulum lever in with the ball on the inside with these ends. We therefore recommend that we go straight ahead with the 10" lever and we will run it on 12-EX. Though R.{Sir Henry Royce} mentions a 9 1/2" lever in his R1/M1.5.28. it is understood that this cannot be got in. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
