(Coachbuilders) Ltd. Olaf Street. Latimer Road. LONDON. W. 11. Dear Sirs, re. 20HP. CABRIOLET DE VILLE - G.54S. We now understand that the administration have agreed to our purchasing from you an enclosed drive cabriolet body, and we shall send you a subframe for a raked column steering straight away. We understand that you have some of these bodies in an almost completed state and that you will no doubt arrange to fit the subframe into one of these. The only modifications the body will require will of course be the dropping out of the bottom sides in order to fit the subframe, and the widening of the scuttle at the dashboard to accommodate the wider dashboard which the subframe demands. We enclose herewith a sketch showing the dimensions of the dashboard; otherwise no modifications should be required. As we are anxious to have this body on the road as soon as possible in order to enable us to get on with our subframe experiments, we would be glad if the job could proceed as quickly as possible. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
