-8- It drops down to approx. 10 lbs after braking but quickly builds up the normal pressure. WATER PUMP to LOP E.54728. SPRING LOADED GLAND PACKING. We have had no water leak from the gland throughout the mileage. The fabric coupling remained in good condition. PAN to LOP E.53250. USING DUNLOP RUBBER FAN BELT. The fan has not shown any weakness, all the blades still remain firm. The bearings have given no trouble. The rubber fan belt deteriorated somewhat owing to it fouling an oil union which was incorporated in the supply to the dynamo drive. The union has now been deleted. The belt has maintained a satisfactory drive. It required adjusting at approx. 8,000 miles. It is not necessary to have the belt as tight as was the practice with the leather belt. IGNITION WIRES to LOP E.53204 ALUM. TUBE CARRYING H.T. WIRES to scheme 1321. The above ignition wires and aluminium tube which have given every satisfaction is to come into production immediately the old stock is used. AUTOVAC & PIPING to LOP F.56741 & F.56350. KNOTS PETROL FILTER F.57482. INCORPORATING SCHEME 1387 MODIFIED OUTLET POSITION. (1) Incorporating Autovac with reserve to Arrgt.F.56742 The autovac has functioned satisfactory throughout the mileage. We propose that the complete unit with reserve be adapted for the two cars. The Knots petrol filter has operated satisfactory. A quantity of foreign has been collected. A full supply of petrol has been maintained for all speeds. The modified outlet cleans up the pipe line, is shorter and more direct. DASHBOARD N.S.3047. MODIFIED SHAPE to F.57132. 34.5" WIDE. (Standard 33" wide) The riveted angle bracket supporting the bonnet attached to the dashboard has become loose owing to the aluminium rivet heads breaking off. These were .125" in dia. They have been replaced by .3125" alum. rivets after the failure had been pointed out to us, and will automatically come into standard production. There were no other troubles with the dashboard. | ||
