CLUTCH LINERS. --------------------- On the 20th ult., we ordered for Chassis Repair Stock, 72 of the above blanks. On delivery, we find that they have been produced in RAD.13 fabric whereas the drawing calls for RAD.2 fabric, the latter being still in use on Production Chassis. We have ordered on four previous occasions during last year and the correct material has been used. Will you please investigate why this departure from standard has been made and arrange for the disposal of the liners, at the same time putting in hand a further supply of liners in the correct material. We understand that Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} has recently ordered a few of these liners in RAD.13 for experimental purposes but no instructions have been given for this material to be substituted for RAD.2 either for Repair or Production use.
