E7C. Ref No. WE44 X.6033. Date 4-9-30 X NOS. 7655 Finer gauge wire on solenoid coils of Sequence Starter Main and relay switch. We have carried out on the bench, tests on an automatic main and relay switch unit with the solenoid coils wound with wire one gauge finer than standard. The object of this experiment was to reduce the operating current of the switches, there being considered sufficient surplus energy on the standard 'switch' to warrant this current economy. At the same time it is advantageous to reduce the current passed through the push button switch in view of the proposed modification of deleting the carbon contacts on that switch.
