To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8685 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/LG7.4.26. SKETCH. IGNITION GOVERNOR OIL RELAY. We are anxious to complete a number of experiments on this detail. We have previously requested you to let us have some lighter governor weights. With these we should like to try the modified arrangement of N.Sch.2121 which you suggested i.e. a complete ring passed round the base of the governor chamber with holes cored as per sketch. We understand that a governor is being fitted up to run 10,000 miles on the car about to leave for France. Will you please place a light piston ring under the cup leather of this governor.
