Messrs. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Hobson Ltd.,
47-55 Acton Vale,
London W.3.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Major Searight.

With reference to your letter of the 1st. inst. we regret that owing to the coachbuilders arrangement we shall be compelled to alter the position of the gauge as indicated in KS.130 print of which you have sent us.

We shall endeavour to let you have a tank with the modified position as soon as possible.

In the meantime we are returning to you the three gauges which you supplied against our Order Number 84395 to KS.130 and would like you to modify them immediately to give approximately satisfactory results in the new position as we cannot wait until road tests have been carried out to get the cars on the road with some sort of petrol gauge fitted.

In the meantime we will send you a new tank so that we can establish the accuracy of all gauges supplied after these first three.

Possibly you will be able to supply one or more of these first three gauges with auxiliary hand-operating pump.

Yours faithfully,
