Dear Sir:

Re: Proposal Sheet No.26
Lubrication of Clutch Trunnion

COPY

This change has already been submitted to England in our letter of July 23rd on Contemplated Alterations, item 10.

We now send the full proposal sheet.

The reason for the change is that the present holes for lubricating the clutch trunnion are liable to catch dirt and water dislodged from the floorboards, and are also liable to be overlooked.

Fitting a lubricator on one of the pivots is not only more accessible but prevents the entrance of dirt, which accounts for every case which we have met with where renewal of the thrust bearings on service has been necessary.

Oy.
