New parts and alterations for a Starter Motor Drive Reduction Gear.

In accordance with LeC.1951 we have detailed the following new parts for the Starter Motor Drive on the above chassis. We would like to draw your attention to the point that the overall reduction of the Starter Motor to the engine has been reduced and is now 28.88 - 1. You will therefore, no doubt find that the Sun Wheel and Planet Wheels called for on this L.O.P. are already made. This arrangement has necessitated an alteration to the Annulus D.70260 which we send along herewith (1844/D). The new parts are:- D.70882 - Planet Wheel Carrier. D.70883 - Planet Cage. D.70884 - Driving Shaft. D.70885 - Starting Pinion. D.70886 - Bush for Starting Pinion. D.70887 - End Plate. D.70888 - Plunger Rod. D.70889 - Dis-engaging Plunger. D.70890/1 - Dis-engaging Spring (Alternatives). D.70892 - Spigot. D.70893 - Locking Washer. D.70891 - } D.70902 - } Shock Demping Spring (Alternatives). D.70903 - } D.70895 - Stop for Driving Shaft. D.70904 - Securing Bolt. D.70897 - L.O.P. Epicyclic Gear. and we send you one print of each herewith. It should be noted that with this scheme a new bottom half Gear Casing is required also alterations to the Starter Motor Armature (See 1838/9/D). Will you please put this in hand as soon as possible.
