Dear Breedon,

The icy roads have produced a crop of casualties amongst our works transport and we have had to give these preference, or our war effort will suffer.

Under the circumstances, I am afraid it may be three weeks before your car is completed.

The weather at present suggests that, at present, you will not miss any enjoyable motoring due to the delay.

One other advantage is that we shall by that time have finished some development work we are at present doing on a post-war project and we shall be able to discuss this with you.

My brother-in-law is getting a bit restive about the delivery of his car but I do not expect that you can do without it until you get the new one.

Yours sincerely,
