Dear Sirs, We would thank you for your favor of the 11th instant, reference as above, returning to us the drawing MGA.{M. G. Aspley}21172 which we gave to your Mr. Hardy when at these Works. We have duly noted the items you call attention to in this letter of yours, and are proceeding accordingly. In regard to the Roller and Race Assembly, we note that you are requiring the ball race type, and we shall have to make these specially in our Works, similar to the 3 Special Rollers we made you recently, as, as you are aware, we have not made this type yet. We have noted the contents of your paragraphs 3 and 4, which are satisfactory, as also your paragraph 5, in which you call for our M.20718 1" longer than shewn on the drawing. As regards the outside diameter of this, we will arrange to make this 1 1/2". We would confirm that the distance from the centre line of the column to the centre line of the drop arm boss is to be 6.1", and the rockershaft splines are being arranged in accordance with your request. We note that the official order for this Gear will be posted to us from your Order Office in due course, for which please accept our best thanks. - 1 - | ||
