Byl-P6.11.22. contd. - 2 - a {Mr Adams} /- I kept the jacket water temperature generally too low, 50° - 60°. b/- Engine was less hardly pressed, due to light open body. (2) Remedy. I think the design of our coil is wrong, as it has too little radiating surface, and the change that is required is to lengthen the coil and reduce its diameter, as by so doing the efficiency of the coil could be very much increased and less Watts would be required, whilst in addition the increased area to bulk ratio would keep the coil much cooler, apart from and additional to effect due to drop in watts.
