SIDE LEVER MECHANISM. X.9020

Since we sent you H.sch.1812, we have been instructed to reduce the width of the dash. This comples us to alter the side lever mechanism again, and we send you H.sch.1831 showing what we propose.

Though the primary reason for this alteration is the narrowing of the dash, we find incidentally that it reduces weight and complication, and makes what we expect will be a nicer change speed and brake mechanism.

The cars with narrow sports bodies, which we understand are in progress, will have to have this mechanism.

In general the change speed lever follows the lines of the Hawk-Northcliffe, and a new box is called for which will be sent you by Mr. Stent in due course.
