Bentley 4 1/4 litre cars in France -
tightening up of main bearings.
----------------------------

We attach a list of 4 1/4 litre Bentley cars in France. As you will observe, we give the last recorded mileage which a car has run.

It is now our intention to call in each of the chassis mentioned, when they have covered about 12,000 to 15,000 kilometres, and tighten up the bearings as outlined in your memo. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/AP.II.12.36. Preference, however, will be given to cars which are known to be driven hard.

As you are aware, we have already "let up" the bearings of the following chassis :-

B. 10 GA. Baron Brincard.
B. 154 GA. Perroud.

We are to-day attending to chassis B.260 GA, belonging to Mr Embricos, and chassis B. 122 GA is being sent to us next Monday.

We had started to prepare for you the cost of the tightening up job. However, in view of the 40 hour week, etc., which we very recently had to adopt, and which has meant an increase in wages, we will work out the cost of the next two tightening up jobs, which we intend to carry out in conjunction with the special measuring tool we are making, and will let you know the amount of this.

Sr/VA.
