86153. JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.1.1.35. Re. Chassis No.B.47.CW. We strongly deprecate the fitting of a 6 volt Philco wireless set to any of our chassis. The reason for this is that the current consumption is much too high and also the suppression of the noise in the set is much more difficult with a resistance in series. We therefore hope you will do all you can to persuade this customer to alter his opinion regarding the fitting of this set. There seems no reason at all why a 6 volt set should be insisted upon on a 12 volt system. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
