REAR END OF INDIA 3.

It would appear that our present arrangement of alternatively having one wheel or luggage at the rear does not quite meet the whole of the circumstances, and we have alternately provided one or two wheels only at the rear, as well as the present scheme with two wheels.

We shall then have the following combinations:-

(1) Luggage on grid or one wheel at rear.
(2) Luggage on grid or two wheels at rear.
(3) Two wheels only at rear leaning out backwards to suit maximum body.
(4) One wheel only at rear leaning out backwards to suit maximum body.

All the above are made up of pieces of the present schemes - N. schs. 2576/7/8. with slight additions.

Also:
(a) One wheel leaning forwards only.
(b) Two wheels leaning forwards.

These may be used with a maximum body, or with a short body and boot or case of trunks for luggage.

Although this seems a great variety of schemes to hold stock of, it will be seen that only a few extra pieces are needed to provide all arrangements.

It will be necessary to make the shoe cantilever fixing to bolt on to the rear cross member to enable the changeover to be made after the chassis is built.

N. scheme 2639. shews one wheel only leaning forward.
N. scheme 2640. shews 2 wheels only.

We have to shew you 2 wheels and grid for the present scheme to make the whole set complete.

N. scheme 2639. is required for Mr. Royce's car for July 28th. 1928.
