X4426 Dear Sir, On the occasion of the writer's interview and conversation with you a little time ago, the question of the wear of the wood bushes was raised, and though when the writer pointed out that we had had no complaints or trouble in this direction, you expressed a wish to try an oilless bush and a larger pin. We have, therefore, had a set of experimental bushes made by the L.W.Tools Co.Ltd., and we are sending you a set of these under separate cover, which will fit in place of the standard wood bushes supplied with the Shock Absorbers, but will take a larger stud, namely 5/8" diameter, and we shall be very interested to receive your report as to their behaviour in comparison with the wood bushes. We are also sending you some washers made of a similar material to replace the wood washers used on the Shock Absorbers, which you can test at the same time. In the meantime, we are also carrying out some experiments with these bushes, but as far as we are concerned the standard wood bushes have given such excellent results, that we do not think we should make a change, but would, of course, be quite prepared to supply you with special bushes should you wish us to do so. Assuring you of our best attention. Yours faithfully, T.B.ANDRE & CO.LTD., DIRECTOR | ||
