-2- you will recall, it is requested that Members desiring this dimension of 5ft. to be varied are requested to make a point of indicating accordingly, stating their variations required. We would like to suggest a dimension of 6 1/2ft plus and minus 2ft. minimum In the matter of pillar visibility it will be seen that all of the cars tested fall well within the limits proposed. It is interesting to note that all of our near side pillars are at an angle of less than 35° from the line 'YY'. As soon as we have been able to collect some more data we will forward it to you, but we are sending you this advance report to enable you to reply to the S.M.M.T. by the 15th.inst. We are returning herewith your letter and the attached correspondence from the S.M.M.T., but for our reference we would like to have a copy of these amended S.M.M.T. proposals.
