To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} S E C R E T. I N D I A FRONT WHEEL BRAKING. X5940 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M8.6.25. X.5940 X.5370 Referring to Mr. Royce's memo, R3/M5.6.25., we have sent you instructions and information regarding the ratio of increase of torque from the servo, and also some comments on the lever clearances. We have not sent you (and we do not think Mr. Royce means that we have), instructions regarding the .5" cam, and the modified castellated adjustment turned round so that the lever slides insteadof the driving piece. This is awaiting Mr. Royce's approval which we shall get as soon as possible. We shall at the same time send you the enlarged hexagon nut securing the driven lever on the brake operating shaft, locked by a split pin instead of a tab washer as originally instructed.
