R.R. 238 (21n) (XX. 356. 8.9.13) E.P. 4910. ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: Mr Wormald Date: January 14th 1914. Order No. Customer's No. Inclination of Pivots. I am interested to note the memos from Mr Haldenby & Mr Hallam concerning the effect of pivot inclination on the low speed steering wobble which is causing us some amount of trouble at present. The last car which passed through the Repair Dept having this fault to any marked degree was 2027 (Smith). The wobble was noted by the tester on his first run with the car, & before any dismantling or alteration had been done I took the car on the track & tested it with Mr Haldenby, who advised us that the pivots should be given the Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work.
