Engine Dept. D.O. X93 TBB6/L17412. Will you please get out an experimental design for a special throttle, in accordance with the attached rough sketches. This scheme is for the purpose of overcoming our difficulty experienced with explosions in the silencer when running down hill with the shut throttle. You will see that the scheme provides for a valve which definitely shuts off the low speed jet, the idea being that air leakage past the main throttle will give an insufficient suction on the high speed jet to cause an appreciable amount of petrol to rise and mix with this air leakage. Will you please proceed with this design as soon as possible. Previous suggestions for the valve in the induction pipe may be R R 'B' DEPT.(1000) 1/12 W H S (C) 6973 | ||
