External Finish of Aero Engines.

It was agreed at Derby that the Cadmium plated and stove-enamelled finish would be adopted as standard and that this would not add to the cost of the engine in production. It is proposed to introduce the improved finish as a modification on engines returned for re-conditioning or bringing up to date. In such cases a small charge of £12 - £15 an engine would be involved.
