To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 8206 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}21/MJ.10.8.36. BENTLEY BRAKE JUDDERS. In view of Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/D.30.7.36 we put in hand a dozen sets of parts to scheme 21 on page 15 of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/APM.2/KW.27.7.36. Owing to the fact that the scheme is simpler than No.11 at present on 6-B-1V, and makes use of castings instead of forgings, we have been able to complete the necessary parts today and fit them to Mr. Pierson's car. Mr. Ballantine's car will be fitted up in two days time. The scheme is effective and to see the pieces it is almost necessary to lie on the ground. We think it is preferable to No.11, particularly having regard to cost and simplicity for change overs. In view of these facts, and of the fact that the forgings for t the designed No.11 scheme will not be available for some little time, we are sending a set of parts similar to those fitted to Mr.Pierson's car out to 6-B-1V and they will be fitted forthwith.
