K7310. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}10/KT.1.4.31. EPICYCLIC GEARBOX ON 27-EX. Immediately after the holidays we shall wish to alter the angle of the Maybach dogs on the epicyclic gear on 27-EX. from 6º to 4º. It will probably be found that the dogs, especially on the stationary plate (G.78958.) are too badly damaged to be altered and still be a reasonably good job. It appears advisable therefore, to prepare a new set of dogs having the altered angle, almost certainly G.78958 will have to be renewed and possibly the sliding dogs G.78970. We do not think the top speed dogs, the ones fixed to the epicyclic annulus will be badly damaged. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
