Rolls-Royce, Ltd., 15, Conduit Street, W.1. Dear Lord Wargrave, Duo-Tread Tyres Referring to my conversation with you a month or so back, we have now got the production of Duo-Tread tyres in a forward state for marketing next month, and I shall be most grateful if you will be so kind as to allow our representative to call at your Derby works to see your engineering staff thereon. The tyres have two treads, the second one appearing after the first is worn away, and are only being placed on the market after more than two years’ road use on many thousands of vehicles. It is claimed they are one of the greatest improvements that have taken place in tyre production for some years, and we are specially desirous that the Rolls-Royce Company may have the earliest possible opportunity of testing them. Thanking you in anticipation of your reply, Yours very sincerely, [Signature] Deputy Chairman. [STAMP: ANSWERED 3_OCT.1933] | ||
