IF THIS GAP IS TOO GREAT WHEELS MAY TOE IN EXCESSIVELY
(A) PACKING WASHERS FITTED HERE TO INCREASE POUNDAGE
(B) STANDARD POUNDAGE REQUIRED TO TWIST THE CROSS STEERING TUBE BY MEANS OF A 10" LEVER CLIPPED TO ITS CENTRE IS 14 (140" LBS) BUT THIS MAY BE INCREASED TO 24LBS (240"LBS) FOR SPECIAL CONDITIONS OR WHERE THE STEERING IS EXCEPTIONALLY LIGHT. FOR TESTING SEE DEPOT SHEET HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}30. BUT THESE LOADS SUPERSEDE THOSE PREVIOUSLY GIVEN.
