Dear Mr. Hives, A few years ago, when we were experimenting with certain wheel discs suitable for your cars, I came over to see you, and you kindly gave me some valuable advice, and had the wheel discs tested out on your Chassis. Since then, as you are undoubtedly aware, we have had very successful sales of Wheel Discs for Rolls-Royce cars, and I have always appreciated the assistance you gave me. This firm has considerably advanced since those days, and have been manufacturing high class accessories for the motor trade, but we feel that there is still greater scope for the manufacture of accessories which require accuracy and high finish. We are, therefore, contemplating developing in this direction, and I should very much appreciate an interview with you, as I feel sure your advice on the subject would be invaluable. If you could possibly spare the time, I should like my Co-Director, Mr. Rycroft and myself to meet you and have lunch, if not, we could see you at the works, when we could discuss our plans.
