Dear Sirs,

We are sending you to-day per post, under separate cover, two micro sections taken from one of your Drums in which we have attempted to produce the structure you desire for test. As we anticipated, this structure does not comprise the whole section but we think it is sufficiently prevalent to serve your purpose. A test bar poured at the same time and given the same treatment, yielded 14.45 Tons per square inch Tensile Strength and the Brinell Hardness is 163.

We shall be pleased if you will examine these and let us have your comments as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully
FOR LAKE & ELLIOT LTD
