To D/BP. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/KT.5/KW22.12.33. Replying to D/BP/HDQ/JD{J. Draper - Frames}18.12.33. 16-G-IV. This chassis without an engine fitted was handed over to the Repair Dept. in Dec. 1932, to be put into a saleable condition. We supplied a 25 H.P. engine unit for this chassis, and this was fitted by the Repair Dept. From our records we give below details with regard to the main specification of this car at that time :- Standard 25 H.P. Chassis. Engine unit C.5. (It is very probable that this engine unit has since been re-numbered). Weight of complete car - 1 ton 12 cwts. 1 qr. 7 lbs. Road spring poundages - Front 625 lbs. Rear 700 lbs. Body - Barker Two Door Four Seater Close Coupled all-weather. 5 Dunlop Wheels, 19" rims. 5 Dunlop Fort Tyres 6 x 19". Rear type spare wheel carrier. P. & R.{Sir Henry Royce} Battery. Capacity of petrol tank 14 gallons. Standard type of bonnet. 21-EX. The following is a list of details of the specification of 21-EX car at the time it was sent to Sales, in October 1929 :- Phantom long type Chassis. Engine Unit No. 9. Weight of complete car, 46 cwts. 2 qrs. Road Spring poundages - Front 1100 lbs. Rear 1350 lbs. Body - Barker Four Door, Six-Light, Enclosed Limousine. 5 Dunlop wheels, 21" rims. 5 Dunlop Fort Tyres, 6.750 x 21". Rear type spare wheel carrier. Exide Battery. Capacity of Petrol Tank - 20 gallons. Short type bonnet. -------------------- We have no information with regard to the numbers of the keys, speedometers, etc., on these two cars.
