Exptl. Dept. 20th April, 1934. Messrs. Hardy Spicer & Co.Ltd., Birch Road, Witton, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Will you please send us particulars of a Hardy Fabric Coupling suitable for the following conditions :- (1) Max. mean torque = 2230 lbs.ins.at 2000 r.p.m. (2) Max. speed = 4500 r.p.m. Torque at this speed = 1680 lbs. ins. (3) Max. inclination of shafts = 3o with centres remaining coincident at coupling. (4) Max. permissible outside dia. = 6". The coupling is required for use between a 6-cyl. petrol engine and gearbox, and the thickness in the axial direction should be a minimum.
