DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}6/G.27.2.39. RE: PETROL FILLER. 14-B-5. Herewith is FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}382 shewing the petrol filler for 14-B-5. Two fillers per tank will be required. The scheme is applicable only to 14-B-5, as it is proposed to alter the position of the snout on the tank for subsequent cars to give greater clearance for the filler tube through the 2nd crossmember. The filler head consists of standard pieces, except for the deletion of the inner splash guard, and the addition of a breathing vent. It is essential that these pieces should be produced and sent out to Paris as soon as possible. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
