BIRMINGHAM.

ATTENTION MR. PACY.

Dear Sirs:-

HEATERS.

Periodically we are asked for a heating device and, judging from the article in this week's copy of "The Motor," the demand for such a fitting is likely to increase in the future.

One of our 40/50 cars is fitted with a device for heating the passenger compartments.

The device consists of a tank which is fed with water from the cooling system of the engine and a blower which draws air in and passes it around the tank which, of course, becomes heated as the temperature of the water in the cooling system rises, and expels the heated air into the body.

We have found it effective and the blower is not un-pleasantly noisy.

The heater we have installed is of American manufacture, but it seems to us that it should not be a difficult matter for a firm like your goodselves to make up something on the same lines which would be equally efficient and which would command a ready sale.

If you are interested you may care to arrange for a representative to inspect the apparatus installed on the experimental car by appointment with our Mr. Hives at Derby.

We would add that in our opinion there ought to be a drain cock to the tank so that if necessary the water may be drained off and, in addition, we think it might be possible to do something to make it more convenient in shape so that it may be more readily stowed away inside a car.
