Trouble with the magneto universal joint and a request to devise a protective cover.

Re Magneto Universal Joint. X429 TEB7/L28712. Mr Elliott 25.7.12. Mr Platford reports that the rear universal joint on the magneto drive shaft gives some amount of trouble as regards wearing slack. This difficulty he puts down to the fact that any dirt and dust passing through the guard will be thrown on to this joint owing to its position. It is suggested that some form of cover could be devised for this joint. Will you kindly get out some suitable schemes for the protection of this joint. | ||
