If you have not already done so, I think you would be interested to read the paragraph on this subject on Page 307 of last week's Autocar.

I feel that, whilst we are doing the right thing in building up a SpectreCodename for Phantom III as soon as possible with conventional springing, we must not at this juncture 'let up' on our efforts to get our independent springing at least as good as that on the Cadillac, and I should be very much interested to try it as soon as it is considered to be in that condition.

I was very much interested to see from one of the American papers that Packard's, whose 8-cylinder car with conventional springing I tried and thought extraordinarily good, have brought out another 8-cylinder with independent springing.
