PHANTOM II COOLING.

Re. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}24/El.9.30.

It was all arranged on the Experimental Dept's recommendation that the front shutters should be retained as they were the most efficient.

It was afterwards re-considered by BJ. and R.{Sir Henry Royce} that it would be better to keep the rear shutters, with the idea that it would help to keep the petrol tank cooler. About that time we were having trouble with the excessive heat of the petrol.

We attach herewith some notes relating to this.
