-2- Contd FIG.3. This suggests that the form of the engagement should be reduced from edges to points, or even to a single point on one tooth only since the engagement with teazer current is gentle. The most practical method of accomplishing this appears to be by chamfering the engaging face of one of the gears and using a small radius on the corner of the other gear as in fig.4. FIG: 4. In practice no doubt it would be better to apply the chamfer to the flywheel gear, but it would be more easy to make a trial by chamfering the pinion.
