I have received your report dated Sunday, but do not think there is any occasion to circulate this, as practically all the points have already been dealt with in the report which we have also received today from R.{Sir Henry Royce} which we have circulated and are sending a copy to you.

The points you have raised in regard to rattles and the running of 6-Goshawk-ll, we appear to have anticipated, and action has been taken as you will now be cognisant of from the information we have already conveyed to you.

The same consideration can also be given as far as the running of the Amateur car is concerned. By all means allow Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} to run 5-Goshawk-ll and 6-Goshawk-ll.

What we now require to know from you is what definite standard alterations are to be carried out over and above those which now exist on, say, 6-Goshawk-ll in order that the instructions for production cars can be quite clear. Also will it be in order for us to embody such instructions on 7-Goshawk-ll so that when tested out and found satisfactory, we can pass over to Sales Dept. to carry out their Amateur Test.

The points you raise re springs for bonnet catches and angle of oil filler I will take up with BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}
